Learn more about Milwaukee!
We are excited to welcome you to Milwaukee, which is a vibrant city on the shore of Lake Michigan, known for its lively energy and close-knit creative community. Milwaukee has something for everyone, with its thriving cultural scene and wealth of outdoor activities. Here are some fun facts about the Brew City!

Last year’s season of Top Chef, a popular American reality TV program, was filmed in Milwaukee and Madison, Wisconsin. Top Chef: Wisconsin featured 16 chefs from around the U.S. and highlighted the exploding food scene in Milwaukee. One of the finalists was a local chef named Dan Jacobs, who runs two restaurants in Milwaukee. Give the show a watch before your visit!
Be sure to visit the Milwaukee Art Museum, which is the largest art museum in Wisconsin and houses a collection of more than 30,000 works. The building was designed by Spanish architect Santiago Calatrava and its unique wings open with the museum, flap at noon, and close at night, weather permitting. It’s an easy 1 mile / 1.6 km walk from the conference hotel, and it offers a great lake path behind the museum.

With 15,000 theater seats in the downtown alone, the Milwaukee Theater District ranks #1 in the U.S. for the highest number of theater seats per capita. The district is less than half a kilometer from the conference hotel, and its theaters showcase every kind of performing arts and live entertainment. Catch a show while you’re here!
Milwaukee is the city that beer built, and now you can see how Milwaukee builds its beer in over 70 breweries and beer attractions throughout the city. Milwaukee is a beer destination like no other, with its unique beer history, the historic Miller Brewing Company, and modern craft breweries.

Although Milwaukee is nicknamed “Brew City,” it’s also a great location for coffee and tea lovers, thanks to its café culture and selection of specialty shops. With options ranging from artisanal coffee roasters and innovative brewhouses to charming tea shops with carefully curated blends, there’s something for everyone.
Stay tuned to the conference website as we add more details with travel information, local cuisine, touristic attractions, and more!
