In fall of 2021, ISOQOL launched its e-learning platform, which hosts three established education programs: online courses, webinars and virtual symposia. This all-new platform has helped make ISOQOL’s education initiatives more accessible to those with an interest in the theory, methods, standards and best practices, or application of patient-centered outcomes (PCO) research, and as such, as helped further the ISOQOL mission.
Since the platform’s launch, we have seen more and more people sign in to the e-learning platform, with nearly 1,000 users currently activated. If you haven’t visited the platform yet, you still can! Follow the steps here to complete the one-time sign-in process and start viewing all the content the platform has to offer.
In case you missed it, the IPCOR Pharma online education course has been available since the e-learning platform’s commencement. Perfect for those who are new to the pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry or new to the role of a PCO research scientist, this course offers a curriculum that provides an introduction to the application of patient-centered outcomes research.
PCO research is crucial to successful product development, and completing this course will help you understand the product development process, the product lifecycle, the scientific communication process and interactions with key industry stakeholders – both internal and external (i.e., regulators and payers).
Introduction to Quality of Life and Patient-Reported Outcomes (IPRO) Course
We are excited to say that the online version of the IPRO education course launched in September this year! Designed for new investigators, research students, health professionals, consultants and more, this curriculum provides registrants with a basic level introduction to the why and how of using PROs in research.
Collecting and acting upon patient-reported outcomes (PROs) is one of the cornerstones of patient-centered care, and we are proud to offer this course for those new to the field.
ISOQOL webinars cover both core concepts behind health related quality of life (HRQL) research and emerging trends in the field. All previously held webinars are archived on the e-learning platform and are available on-demand. With 30 webinars currently available for viewing, there’s something for everything.
In 2022 alone, we hosted two webinar series and two standalone webinars. We look forward to seeing what next year brings!
With the Measuring What Matters (MWM) Symposium now a permanently virtual event, ISOQOL will continue to offer the symposium as an on-demand event after the live event concludes.
For the first time this year, the live symposium was held on the ISOQOL e-learning platform and was a huge success. We had approximately 100 registrants, as well as great engagement and participation in the live Q&As.
If you missed any of the recent symposia, the last three MWM are available for viewing on the platform.
Remember, ISOQOL members receive a discounted rate for educational offerings, so take advantage of this member benefit. We are hard at work to expand ISOQOL’s education programs and bring more content to the e-learning platform; stay tuned for next year!
