The journal Quality of Life Research is seeking to recruit new Associate Editors for multiple open positions.

Your Expertise

To provide examples, we are seeking Associate Editors with expertise in several areas of health related quality of life research, such as HIV, injury, musculoskeletal, orthopedics, rehabilitation, rheumatology, surgery, as well as life-time perspectives on health and illness (e.g., conditions in children or the elderly).

With view to methodological expertise, we are

looking for applicants with experience in clinical trials, epidemiology, health services research, item response theory, public health, response shift, structural equation modelling, statistical issues in patient-reported outcome data analysis, and especially qualitative methods more broadly.

Expected Commitment

Volunteers are expected to serve a three-year term. Associate Editors are eligible for stipends. Eligible persons will be prepared to work with our editorial board to improve the quality and efficiency of manuscript processing as well as the impact of the journal.

The Role of an Editorial Board

Eligibility

Applicants will have:

  • Published scientific works in Quality of Life Research
  • Served as a reviewer in good standing for the journal (or be able to evidence this for a journal in a related area)
  • Several years of post-doctoral experience
  • Experience of research and project leadership
  • Substantial experience in publishing in areas related to treatment, care, and rehabilitation and/or key methodological areas of relevance to research and practice published in Quality of Life Research
